Thought to start a new thread in response to Tony's email, more exactly on

Nice to have mp3 option finally.!! Why cant we serialize the voicemail
filename from freeswitch like we do faxes with the date/time stamp
though?

We surely can do this as ivr is the one that creates these files and
pass to FS in record command. However this will imply some code
changes as the entire mailbox manager relies on the fact that audio,
descriptor (and possibly the unheard / forwarded) filenames are the
unique id assigned by the system (followed by a suffix). If you need
this and feel like a great improvement please raise a jira and will
address post 4.6

Thanks
George

Please vote for it if you think it is worthy. To me it is a lot easier
to look at a saved file that has:

YYYYMMDDHHMMxxxx.wav (etc.) and this in itself provides a lot of
information, for instance if you manually save those files elsewhere
or upload them to a tracking system...

Thanks, accepted it and scheduled for 4.8 though if popular issue will
try to fit in 4.6.1
