What's the best version of Centos to use for installing sipx onto later?
I have a machine that simply won't allow 6.2 to install but thought I read that sipx isn't at 6.x anyhow.

For sipx 4.4, 5.8 is used. I am not aware sipx 4.4 is packaged for centos
6.0 yet (not sure if it will be). For the dev version and upcoming 4.6
release, it will be packaged for the latest centos 6.x (6.2 right now), so
"going forward beyond sipx 4.4, centos 6.2 will likely be the minimum for
you.

I guess that brings up another question. Any problem running sipx 4.4 on Centos 6.x?
The problem I'm having is that I can't get Centos 6.x to install on a server I wanted to send out for hosting.

If I send a Centos 5.8 server off, then I'll have to replace the server at some point to run sipx 4.6. Or, I need to buy another server where I can install Centos 6.x on it but then I'd either have to send in replacement drives later or, be able to upgrade from sipx 4.4 to 4.6 from remote.

I think this was asked and answered already. Actually it has been brought
up many times, yet the answer has not changed. No, you cannot run 4.4 on
Centos 6.x.
